Overseas Pakistani candidates and Foreign Students have a choice of whether they want to appear in the UHS Entry Test or avail the SAT II score of 550 marks as an alternative to the UHS entry test. Overseas Pakistanis and Foreign Students can avail the opportunity of appearing in the SAT II examination to meet the requirement. TOEFL or IELTS score of 500 or 5.5 shall be required from students who have obtained their required qualifications from institutions where the medium of instruction for these qualifications is not English. An alternate to TOEFL and IELTS is a certification by NUML Islamabad after a one year English language course.
Equivalency for Foreign Qualification
Applicants who have passed examination of foreign university which in scope and standard is found equivalent to the F.Sc. (Pre-medical) examination of Pakistan will be eligible for admission in RLMC. The candidate must have passed the subjects of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English in any foreign qualification deemed to be equivalent to F.Sc. Pre-Medical in Pakistan (for e.g.: 11th & 12th grade of USA or A’levels). Only the subjects common to Pakistani Intermediate Boards will be considered for conversion purpose. The other subjects not taught in Pakistan (F.Sc. Pre-medical) will not be considered. An equivalence certificate from Inter-Board Chairmen Committee (IBCC), Islamabad will be provided by the applicant in case of foreign high school certificate.
Admission on Overseas (foreign) self finance seats and eligibility criteria for foreign student and Pakistani students who have done premedical studies from abroad (1) No admission shall be given in MBBS/BDS course on the Overseas (foreign), self finance seats or and other such Government or private scheme, without an entry test or the requisite SAT II score of 550 marks.
The following categories of students shall be eligible for admission on the overseas (foreign) self finance seats if they fulfill the following conditions.
Pakistani national student having passed an examination equivalent to intermediate level of Pakistan after study abroad from a foreign education system with three science subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects with 60% marks in each as certified by IBCC, is eligible to appear in the entry test for admission in MBBS/BDS. Subject wise equivalence by IBCC shall be acceptable irrespective of study group mentioned by IBCC shall be acceptable irrespective of study group mentioned by IBCC if any.
In lieu of the entry test of the admission authority, the candidates is required to have passed SAT II examination score with minimum 550 marks in each of the three science subjects of which two have to be Biology and Chemistry.
Foreign and Pakistan having dual nationality shall be eligible for admission on foreign/overseas seats irrespective of the place of their premedical study, Pakistan or abroad. They shall either have to appear in the entry test or present the admitting authority/University with the requisite SAT score and entry test marks.
Pakistan students studied abroad for premedical but appearing in the Pakistani boards from abroad are also eligible They shall either have to appear in the entry test or present the admitting authority/University with the requisite SAT score and entry test marks.
