Doctor of Physical Therapy is not a new profession, rather one that has only gained its well-deserved credit as of recent. An early form of physical therapy practice even existed as early as in the 1500s to 1700s in Europe. The physical therapy profession is not alternative medicine, it is however part of the modern medical system which is developed by the father of western medicine Hippocrates.
In the developed world, Physical therapy education has advanced up to a doctorate level. With the growth in the number of medical institutions, comes a greater responsibility of producing high-quality, skilled and dynamic physical therapists that are as competent as international professionals. We recognize and prioritize this digital and modern era of information and technology’s demands for today's physical therapists to be well versed not just in the science of physical medicine and rehabilitation but also in exhibiting well-rounded, responsible and confident personalities who are able to communicate as an integral requirement for research and development.
Knowing how to learn and seek council when needed, are two highly contributing factors of success for a student. In many instances, attaining a medical degree may be an end goal for most, but here at RLCPT, we believe it is just a stepping stone towards serving mankind and leaping beyond one's capabilities.
