RLNC-Rashid Latif Nursing College

Rashid Latif Nursing College was established in 2010 with the aim to produce competent, caring and compassionate nurses. We offer 4 years BS-Nurisng degree and 2 years Certified Nurisng Assistant Program. RLNC is registered with Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council, Nursing Examination Board Punjab, and affiliated with University of Health Sciences Lahore. Our nursing students get their clinical training from Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital, a 740 bedded Tertiary Care Hospital, and Hameed Latif Hospital, a 350 bedded teaching hospital.
The guiding philosophy of the BSN Program is based on the College of Nursing’s values: collaboration, social responsibility, integrity, respect, accountability, diversity, and excellence.

OBJECTIVES:

The specific objectives of the BSN track are to prepare graduates who:
  • Provide competent, safe, high-quality and culturally sensitive nursing care to address the healthcare needs of diverse individuals, families, and communities.
  • Critically evaluate theories, concepts, and research findings from nursing, midwifery, and related sciences for translation into clinical practice.
  • Use effective communication and leadership skills in interprofessional teams to promote positive change in the healthcare of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Use information systems and other technologies to improve the quality and safety of health care for individuals, families, and communities.
  • Apply principles of distributive justice and the social determinants of health in the evaluation of health policies and advocacy for the health of individuals, families, and communities in local, national, and international contexts.
  • Evaluate care systems by analyzing the needs of consumers, health care policies, service delivery and finance models, political contexts, and health indicators to increase access to health care for all individuals, and their families in a variety of communities.
