18th Institutional Review Board (IRB) Meeting – RLMC

The 18th Institutional Review Board (IRB) Meeting was held on May 20, 2026, at the Research Cell, Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Tazeem Shahbaz, Director Research Cell. Distinguished members, including Prof. Dr. Sadia Qureshi, Prof. Dr. Nasira Inayat, Prof. Dr. Saman Ansari, Prof. Dr. Nosheen Khurram and Dr. Mohsin Masud, Dr. Rabbiya Sarwar actively participated in the review process. A total of six research proposals were presented for evaluation. Following detailed review, four proposals were approved with minor revisions, while two were rejected due to concerns related to study design and ethical compliance. All submissions were assessed in accordance with established ethical and scientific standards, and constructive feedback was provided to ensure quality improvement. The meeting reaffirmed the IRB’s commitment to upholding ethical integrity, scientific rigor, and strengthening the institutional research culture.
