21st Institutional Review Board (IRB) Meeting – RLMC

The 21st meeting of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Rashid Latif Medical College (RLMC), Lahore, was held on September 23, 2026, in the Conference Room of RLMC. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Tazeem Shahbaz, Convener, IRB. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Tazeem Shahbaz (Convener), Prof. Dr. Asma Naseem Qazi, Prof. Dr. Saman Saeed Ansari, Prof. Dr. Nosheen Khurram, Prof. Dr. Syma Arshad, Prof. Dr. Aisha Aziz, Dr. Asma Kanwal, Dr. Khalil Ur Rehman, Dr. Rabbiya Sarwar, Dr. Faiza Salman, Mr. Muhammad Nadeem, and Mr. Ahmad Attiq. During the session, three research proposals were presented before the Board for detailed ethical and scientific review. The IRB members critically assessed the proposals with regard to their research objectives, methodology, feasibility, ethical considerations, and overall scientific merit. Following deliberation and discussion, all three research proposals were approved subject to minor revisions. The researchers were advised to incorporate the recommendations and required amendments to ensure compliance with institutional research and ethical guidelines. The meeting reaffirmed RLMC's commitment to promoting ethical, scientifically sound, and high-quality research, while maintaining robust institutional oversight throughout the research process.
