World Mental Health day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the world Federation for Mental Health,a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.This day,each October,thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' life worldwide.In some countries this day is part of an awareness week,such as mental health week in Australia.

World Physical Therapy Day takes place every year on 8 September. The day is an opportunity for physical therapists from all over the world to raise awareness about the crucial contribution the profession makes to keeping people well, mobile and independent. In 1996, the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) designated 8th September as World Physical Therapy Day. This is the date WCPT was founded in 1951. The day marks the unity and solidarity of the global physiotherapy community. It is an opportunity to recognise the work that physiotherapists do for their patients and community. Using World Physical Therapy Day as a focus, WCPT aims to support member organisations in their efforts to promote the profession and advance their expertise.
Rashid Latif College of Physical Therapy organized WPTD on 8th september,2019. Miss Sabahat Khan,the CEO of Rashid Latif Medical Complex was the chief guest of the event. All departments of the Rashid Latif Medical Complex and Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital were invited. Different activities were performed by physical therapy students about the importance of physical therapy in rehabilitation by performing art society of RLCPT. Prize distribution for the position holders of UHS & Distinction holders of UHS was also arranged to encourage and attribute the students & to faculty members on their best performance.
