PHARMACOLOGY

Department of Pharmacology plays a pivotal part in basic medical sciences in a medical college. Before studying clinical subjects, medical students must have sufficient exposure to pharmacological aspects of all drugs that are needed for further studies in other subjects. The faculty of pharmacology has a very professional, innovative, conceptual, and enthusiastic approach towards the subject and they are keen to teach the students with dedication. The department took its first steps in November 2012 under the experienced command of Prof. Dr. Almas begum, who remains overseeing it to date. Under her wing, we have our experienced faculty comprised of Prof. Dr. Bushra Farooqui and 2 Asst. The department is honored to maintain an above 85% pass percentage for the last 4 years. Internal assessment is carried out periodically through respective mentors who communicate with and guide students and their parents who require conceptual as well as exam-oriented preparation. The pharmacology department is well equipped according to the latest standards of PMDC.
